The Comprehensive Nursing Skills Bootcamp is a full-day, hands-on training experience designed to strengthen core clinical skills that nursing students are expected to perform on the ward.

This bootcamp is skills-focused and practical. Students will rotate through demonstrations and guided return demonstrations, allowing them to practice safely, correctly, and confidently.

This is ideal for students who:

• Feel anxious or unsure during clinical rotations

• Want more hands-on practice beyond theory

• Need to improve confidence with common ward procedures

Please note: This bootcamp focuses on skills performance only.
Wound care kits are provided. Other consumable kits are not included.

Participants will receive guided instruction and practice in the following essential ward skills:

🩹 Wound Care

• Assessing wounds

• Cleaning the wound bed vs peri-wound area

• Selecting and applying appropriate dressings

• Maintaining sterile/aseptic technique

• Safe disposal of materials

• Proper wound care documentation

A wound care practice kit is included.

🧪 Nasogastric (NG) Tube Skills

• NG tube insertion (demonstration + practice)

• Checking tube placement

• Administering NG feeds safely

• Basic troubleshooting and safety considerations

🚺 Female Catheterization

• Indications and preparation

• Maintaining aseptic technique

• Safe insertion procedure

• Post-insertion care and documentation

💉 Injections

• Intramuscular (IM) injection technique

• Subcutaneous (SC) injection technique

• Site selection and landmarking
